After meeting Suede through a collab I produced with Derek Jarman back in 1993, I went on to direct my first ever films for the band soon after. We've remained friends ever since, so when the time came to tell the band's story in a full feature length biopic, it seemed right I took it on! The film pulls no punches: splits, drug addiction, the psychological torment of numerous splits within the band, and, of course, love stories, are all explored without fear or favour...
