I wrote and directed this film for both a ceremony at the UK birthplace of the Paralympic Games and the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games 2014, at Sochi, Russia, in the presence of Russia's president. 

The script - powerfully delivered by Sir Ian McAllen - had a purpose. The film gives voice to the flame, recounting it's arrival as a spirit, but also reminding every one of the ethos and core values of the games: not just determination and inspiration, but equality. It was a pointed reminder, as some of these values were beginning to be 'forgotten' in the host country.
